Job Scope
Why does the role exist? High level purpose of function. 
As a Quality Systems Engineer, you will report to the Quality Systems Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to establish and enhance our quality management system.


Your primary responsibilities will involve implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the quality processes and systems to ensure alignment with global quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA and other applicable standards). You will energetically contribute to the development of strategies that drive continuous improvement, standardization, and operational efficiency across our Business functions


Key Responsibilities


Overall areas of responsibilities and activities


Collaborate with the Quality Systems Manager to develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.



Lead and support cross-functional initiatives to establish, maintain, and improve quality processes, procedures, policies, and standards across the organization, driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.



Manage and maintain the document management system, ensuring effective document control, compliance, accessibility, and alignment with applicable quality standards and business requirements.



Identify, assess, and drive the resolution of quality system gaps, non-conformities, audit findings, and process improvement opportunities through effective root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.



Champion a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices, standardization, risk-based thinking, and process optimization throughout the organization.



Steer and/or support the establishment of a highly effective Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) system, focusing on comprehensive risk assessment and implementing robust mitigation strategies.



Coordinate, plan, support, and participate in internal and external audits, including system audits, process audits, product audits, customer audits, and certification audits, ensuring timely closure of findings with CAPA and continual compliance.



Support the implementation and maintenance of Technical Cleanliness (TecSa) requirements in accordance with VDA 19 standards, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.



Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable industry standards and customer-specific requirements, including IATF 16949, VDA requirements, ISO standards, and regulatory obligations, updating processes and systems as necessary.
Monitor, analyze, and communicate QMS performance indicators (KPIs), trends, audit results, quality objectives, risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives. Support Management Review Meetings by preparing and presenting relevant quality data to management.



Develop and deliver QMS training, awareness programs, and guidance materials to strengthen organizational knowledge, competence, and adherence to quality requirements.



Build strong relationships with customers, certification bodies, auditors, and relevant authorities, ensuring effective communication, reporting, and support during assessments and audits.



Provide coaching, mentoring, and subject matter expertise to colleagues and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of quality, compliance, continuous learning, and collaboration.



Requirements


Educational background and previous experience required for the role.


Qualifications and experience


MSc or BSc degree in Chemical/ Manufacturing/ Engineering/ Quality.



3+ years of experience in Quality management, Quality assurance, Quality control, or similar roles, preferably within a dynamic manufacturing or industrial environment.



Experience in Quality Systems or Integrated management systems in relevant industry. Experience in the battery/ automotive industry is a plus.



Specific skills


Proficiency in Quality systems standards and frameworks, specifically ISO 9001and IATF. Environmental Management system ISO 14001 is a plus.



Effective communication skills and an aptitude for successful collaboration within cross functional teams.



Strong knowledge and/or experience in risk evaluation and investigation methodologies



Knowledgeable in AIAG / VDA Quality Core tools and methodologies SPC, FMEA, Quality troubleshooting tools and problem-solving methodology and Statistics.
