Beskrivning

One of Nordic Investin’s partner companies is looking for a Project Controller, with Nordic Investin leading the recruitment process. You can make project economics visible early enough for delivery leaders to act, not simply explain the variance after it is fixed.
The partner is delivering a portfolio of complex customer or investment projects. You will own financial follow up, forecasting and commercial insight across the lifecycle, working closely with project managers, procurement and accounting.
Controlling is expected to connect financial results with the operational and commercial drivers behind them. The strongest analysis leads to a clearer choice, an owned action and disciplined follow up rather than another unexplained report.
How you will work
You will work close to the stakeholders responsible for revenue, cost, projects or operations. The partner expects you to test assumptions, explain uncertainty and translate analysis into a small number of useful actions. Credibility will come from both financial discipline and curiosity about the business.
As a specialist, you will own a defined professional area and be trusted to move work forward independently. You are expected to recognise when a question requires wider expertise, explain recommendations clearly and improve the methods or tools used by colleagues around you.
What you will do
Establish project budgets, structures and financial baselines.

Track cost, revenue, cash flow and forecast at completion.

Analyse variances and challenge project assumptions.

Support change orders, claims and commercial decisions.

Prepare project reporting and portfolio summaries.

Ensure correct accounting, accruals and financial documentation.

What you will bring
Experience in project controlling or project based finance.

Strong forecasting and cost analysis capability.

Understanding of project accounting and revenue recognition.

Confidence partnering with project managers and engineers.

Advanced spreadsheet and ERP skills.

Professional English and structured communication.

Experience that would add value
Construction, engineering, energy or technology projects.

Earned value or percentage of completion methods.

Contract and claims exposure.

A background that can succeed here
You may come from project accounting, business control or commercial project management. The partner needs someone who is comfortable with incomplete forecasts, can test the assumptions behind them and knows when a financial issue is actually a delivery issue.
What makes the opportunity interesting
The role offers clear ownership and direct influence over project decisions. Your analysis will help protect margin, cash and delivery credibility across work with tangible outcomes.
The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.
The recruitment conversation
During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional credential if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
How to apply
Apply with your CV or LinkedIn profile and a short note describing the most relevant organisation, service, project or financial process you have helped improve. Nordic Investin welcomes candidates with different routes into the profession and assesses applicants on relevant capability, judgement and potential.
